Yep. It's going to be years before we are considered 'normal'
Remember when synthetic tack first appeared (apologies if you're not old enough!). Nobody would use it, and hunting people, who really would have the most use for it, never use it even now.
And I remember when brushing boots with velcro fasteners were frowned upon...

My friend recently met a trainer who sneered at her Myler bit and said it was a 'gimmick'. Her answer was... well a snaffle was a gimmick once upon a time wasn't it?
