Hello. I am from Latvia, and my horse is kind of a mixed blood Latvian Warmblood gelding, currently four years of age (and a half).

I started riding when I was quite small, but not very seriously. Always dreamed of a horse, but never though I could really have one. And then, on my 16th birthday I got the best present ever - a nice, kind of rideable, darker chestnut mare. I found this site while browsing about Bitless Bridles. Very nice indeed. I have just started riding bitless and I LOVE IT! I am also a barefoot advocate when my horse told me that his shoes really really suck and wouldn't stay sound in them. Hard lesson learned but a lesson of a lifetime.

I have 3 horses and 2 mini-donkeys and will post pictures of them soon. I am one of the few people in my area who believe in the whole non-metal attitude and have gotten into a few debates ...

Hi, I live in the Turks and Caicos Island (just south of the Bahamas). I have three 'Grand Turk' ponies - all rescues. The Grand Turk Pony is result of horses being left behind (and set free) when the salt industry collapsed in the 1880's. Over the past hundred or so years inbreeding has caused them to shrink to large ponies, but the harsh desert like climate and little grazing has created a tough easy keeper. Currently the numbers are declining as what little natural vegetation there is has ...

She is a lovely horse (Canadien Horse x Newfoundland Pony), and I am doing my best as a first-time owner to do what's best for her. That includes riding her bitless, as I didn't want my inexperienced hands to hurt her with ...

Looking forward to seeing the yahoogroup interactions continuing on here now which should make it easier to find topics and replies, etc

I have 3 geldings, none of whom are as of yet bitless but I am hoping that each of them will be in time to come once I have figured out which ones will suit which of my boys, etc

Here's looking forward to all the conversations, topics, etc which I hope will be of benefit to 'my boys' ...

Hi everyone and welcome - especially to anyone joining us from the Yahoo group!

I'm lucky enough to have the adorable Zeno in my family. I bred him and we've been on quite a journey together. I won't bore you with the details, suffice it to say we are bitless and have been since just after backing. We've been working hard on getting a firm foundation of trust and we have loads of fun hacking and doing trick training! Now we're starting some jumping and dressage. I'd personally love to see ...
