Newbie

Post by Wild Pony on Sun Nov 29, 2009 12:22 pm

Hi. I'm new to a bitless bridle but love it! I am trying to convert a few 'regular' people but no one seems to be interested.

I got my first BB for my 18 year I purchased. The first time I rode him, he was a head tosser, rubbing and bridle avoiding. Never experienced such weird behavior...not like flies bothering him. So I rode him in a lead and head stall and he was very content. I moved on to a Dr. Cook and the first time was a NIGHTMARE. I thought...what a mistake. But the second time...PERFECT angel. And it is all history. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Never have I had such a good response.

I haven't had alot of riding time in it yet because he can with other problems that aren't relevant to this post. But I'm planning on using it on my up and coming horse. I'm getting grief for not training him with a bit just in case I sell him. But I don't think that I want to do that to my baby boy.

That my story and glad to be in a place where I'm not the WERIDO!

I am excited to get any advise and share stories and hope I can learn something new.
