the virtual ride

Most digital cameras can do a minute of video. Is there any way we can upload a vitual ride, showing where we ride, paste the clips together, see what each other has to put up with?
just for fun, taken from between the horses ears? (or between Fanny's legs in Cyndi's case unless Cyndi is really tall!)
Can we upload on YouTube but add to each others clips?

LOL!! Nope, I'm not tall, so I guess I'll have to go between Fanny's legs

I've seen bits and pieces of where people's horses are kept and where they ride, but I'd love to see more.

I could do a slide show of her field and where I do my work with her (video would be very boring, unless I could get her to do her lovely floating trot), as well as the roads surrounding us. Apparently, there are lovely trails around here, but you have to ride the road in order to get to them, and Fanny isn't there yet.

Maybe we could use YouTube but show the vids inside a Virtual Ride thread.

If that works there are many more things we could do to.

However would you like this sort of thing in a 'members area' visible only to those logged on, or visible to the rest of the world too?

This sounds like a great idea. I'd love to see where everyone else rides, but think an area for members would be good, but on the other hand If people who were looking at the site and thinking about going bitless, videos of people happily riding in wide open spaces and roads might be a good advert for bitless riding. What does everyone else think?

You are probably right, at the moment pics are in the gallery, but the virural ride could be in the main section.

In the members area are training diaries and blogs at the moment if anyone wants a go at starting one.

Well I started this so I have uploaded the first one. This was a two hour ride we did this morning. I seem to have uploaded the first pic to Virtual Ride and th rest to my personal album, dunno how that happened, also the silly machine has loaded them back to front so good job they are numbered. Anyway have a look see what you think. We ride on the Quantock Hills in Somerset, UK. Wendy how can I put my mistakes right?

The order is easy to sort out, along the bottom of the pics is a sort by filed, set ordered to ascending and it should but them in number order,

as for putting your personal ones into the Virtural ride, I don't know, I can't move pictures so the only thing I can suggest is uploading them again and deleting the originals, a bit of a pain I know. I can do it for you if you like though.
