ISES and bitless dressage

in which they basically say they can't trust dressage riders to train their horses correctly so they need a bit to remain in 'control'. Unbelievable that they admit this.

It's sad how fear runs things, isn't it? Rather than taking the time to train a horse properly, most people just want to control a horse quickly and make it "perform". There are probably many professional riders who don't know or trust their horses, and I'm sure the horses feel the same way.
